Two years after the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans still faces an uncertain existence.

Today it's a city of mixed messages. The French Quarter is alive, Mardi Gras is back, the Superdome mended. But more than a third of the pre-Katrina population has not returned. And those who have are greeted with closed hospitals, schools, shopping centers, and one of the highest murder rates in the nation.

"Against the Tide" examines a city trying to rebuild and the heroic efforts of big and small business working together. But one question remains: will the levees hold?
